If you get your registration renewed, that will be dropped if it was a fix-it citation. But you are going to have a fine to pay for no insurance.
It depends on your state laws whether you will also face a mandatory suspension of your license or registration or just face a fine & points on your license.
Get the car legal & show proof to the judge when you go in for your hearing. Possibly if you have had a clean driving history up till now, the judge may show some leniency towards you. |

You will get a fine and possibly a suspension. Getting insurance between now and your court date will not help. You were uninsured at the time you were pulled over. You can't backdate a policy effective date.

Legally the judge can give you the max fine, however he could also drop the charges if this is your first offense. I don't have my crystal ball so I don't know what the judge is going to do. |

Depending on your state, you may consult a lawyer before hand. That being said, you have a good chance of getting it all reduced if you get insurance now. |

George is right.
You will still get a ticket for no insurance if the date of activation is after you received the ticket.
In some states it is legal for an insurance agent to back-date insurance 15 to 30 days.
I got a ticket for "no insurance" 2 months ago. I found an agent that back-dated my policy and the ticket was dismissed. I live in LA.
Hope this helps. |

You didn't say which state you're from, but in Ohio, if you do not have an insurance policy in effect on the date of the citation, the BMV will suspend your license and plates.
It's 90 days suspension for a 1st time offense. After you serve the suspension and get your license back, you'll have to file a SR-22 (high risk insurance) and maintain insurance. |

It depends on which state you're in. In quite a few states no insurance is a MANDATORY license suspension of from 30-90 days. Check your states DMV website for the penalty. Buying insurance now won't get you off the hook. |

get some insurance..because if you show up tp court without any insurance and you happen to be dumb enough to drive then they will probably impound your car on the spot. Plus then the court might order you to show proof of liability insurance for the next 2 yrs (this means you will have to pay for 2 yrs worth of insurance upfront in one lump payment). Depending on your age if between 18-25 then your rates will probably be higher like 40-75 bucks for liability only. if you do the math thats one lump payment of $960-$1800 (for 2 yrs of coverage). Compared with the $40 or $75 you will be paying monthly. Plus a lot of states wont let you get that sticker without the insurance too. ANd when you go get the insurance dont mention your ticket. Say the car was parked being repaired for a long time and now that its drivable you need to get it insured. |

You will get a fine you already got the ticket that is why you are going to court. Since the citation date is not covered by the start date you will have a bigger problem.
Depending on the state that your in they may require you to show proof of insurance to register your vehicles for a period up to four years. Check with the sate DMV. |

A fine will be involved since you didn't have coverage at the time of the citation yet it will be minimized if your able to show proof of responsibility when you go to court. Also, the judge may have you file each year to show that your keeping the insurance coverage. |

Possible ticket.
In TX if that happens go to your city website and check for 1st time violation. You may be able to predict your ticket fine. Also pray pray pray that you don't get your license suspended b/c thats an inconvenience but keep in mind, still a possibility. |
