police came to my house only to worry about a guitar that he said bar patrons watched load in his truck.we live across the street from bar and also my son who is 10 hasnt acted himself since.i have no police report or no insurance information on this maniac as of yet what can i do?

Comeon.. your FIRST priority is to your son. Get him some professional help if you have to and find out the problems he is trying to deal with.
If its related to the accident then you can address that AFTER your son is either well or being helped.
After your son is attended to, contact your insurance company to see what coverage you have. If you are a renter and have no coverage, then you prob. need to seek legal assistance.
Dont worry about a guitar that will sort itself out later.
Lastly, don't worry about the police report or the name of the driver, for the level of the accident you describe, the police have it and when you start to deal with the matter, the report is easily available at the local police station.
Now go tend to your son.

If you have homeowners' insurance, submit a claim to your own insurance company. The man man not have insurance, so chasing after him could be a waste of time. |

Contact a good lawyer experienced in cases such as this.
I've got a good feeling it won't cost you a cent and good legal advise is what you need right now, not any ones opinion.
I would personally be shaken up by this incident and I'm a LOT older than 10. |

wow that's nuts I don't know where you live, but I'm pretty sure in the U.S. you could sue the bar, they have an obligation to make sure that their patrons aren't too drunk.
Also seek counseling for your son I'm sure he feels very insecure having something so dangerous happen in his home. |

Regrugg is correct, but see a lawyer about pursuing sendig the bar a suit for allowing not stopping the drunk according to the dram theory. |
