I bought the car while in AZ from a guy who imported it into CA from Australia. It doesn't have a VIN# because they didn't use them in Australia back in 1968.

I think you just bought a lawn ornament. The car has no VIN number, no title, and probably does not comply with U.S. safety and emissions standards. Why did you buy a car without getting a title? That is the ONLY document that proves ownership of a vehicle. In reality you actually don't own it.
