I have a court date coming up for driving a car without a licence.?

i crushed into someones car damaging the side of their car only my car was more worse off. According to the police drove off without giving details (i did, the deal was i pay them privately for the damages and the police stay out of it but the police found out anyway and so i didn't pay. Anyway the car is now in the pound and i havn['t driven since (i had the car for a month in feb) Whats guna happen at court i never been in trouble before and i know i shouldn't of driven i was just so exicted to drive i couldn't wait any longer.

The person i drove into didnt have insurance him self and nor do i because of course i can't get one because i dont have a full licence however i do i have mot and tax and the car was in my name. Nobody was hurt

Even now it seems you are not sorry for driving without a licence (or insurance) you are only sorry that the police got involved.

And you still haven't paid for the damage to the other car...I hope they throw the book at you and stop you from having a licence for years. only way you will learn.

You obviously didnt give the correct details as specified by law ie.the reg.number of your car the name and address of driver and the cars owner which I presume was you,and you couldnt give insurance because you didnt have licence so you cannot have that.You will be fined and likely disqaulified from driving.

The most likely outcome is that you will be banned and have to pay a fine. You may also have to pay for the damaged you caused.

"Driving without insurance" is 6-8 points on your licence.

"Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence" (ie. without a licence) is 3-6 points.

"Failing to stop after an accident" or "failing to give particulars or to report an accident within 24 hours" is 5-10 points. If you stopped to exchange details then you should not be prosecuted for this offence.

As you still have a provisional licence (I assume?) you can have up to 12 points before being banned (unlike if you had passed your test within the last 2 years in which case you would have to retake your test if you received more than 6 points).

If the other driver was also uninsured then he/she is in the same situation as you.

You really need to try to convince the court that you did stop and give your details, as failing to stop after an accident is the most serious offence out of the three.

The best thing you could do now is get a solicitor. Good luck!

well how old are you? if your under 18 your not going to be able to get your license until your at least 18 and get fined and pay court cost and possibly end up on probabtion for 6 months to a year. if your over 18 there probably going to make you take a driving course and fine you along with court cost and maybe get a probabtion type of thing too. and your stuck with a messed up car (insurance doesnt cover uninsured drivers) if you get it back or they may keep it and sell it off and take the $$$. and your stuck with whatever problems the person you hit does (take you to court ect.)

well to be honest you should be band from driving for 4 years+ you obviously can't handle the car and did you know that the car is also a killing machine if you are allowed to drive in the near future then you will find it difficult when you do get your licence to pay to maintain your car such as insurance, MOT, road tax, fuel you are just an idiot in my opinion and if you do go to court i hope that you get what you deserve a prison sentence for at least 6 years and you should pay for the damages out of your own pocket. If that was my car you damaged i would personally string you up alive and watch you beg for mercy.

You don't say what state your in and laws are different in every state.

Are you going to small claims court? Are they sueing you?

Or, are you going to court because the police sent you a ticket or for the accident? Please post more details.
