i read some where that comprhensive coverage covers things like that. i have a broken back windshield and spray paint as well as key marks all over. If my estimate was 1543.99 how much do i owe? does my comprhensive coverage lower what i pay?

If your comprehensive deductible is $1,000. and the cost to repair is $1543.99 then you will pay $1,000. and your insurance will pay $543.99,
I don't believe in high comprehensive deductibles. Mine is zero. Why ? because comp covers many more small things than severe damage. such as small things like a chipped windshield or a scratch or small dent, etc and with a high deductible such as $1,000. you end up paying most of the small claims yourself. For the small cost of no deductible, I think it is a wise buy... SUP to you though |

$287 is probably the premium (what you paid) for the coverage. Any claim under Comprehensive is subject to the deductible. With a $1,000 deductible (!) and the claim valued at $1,543.99 you would have to cover $1,000 and the insurer would pay $543.99. |
