If it scares you that bad, you really do not need to be driving anyway until you have gone through Drivers Ed either again or for the first time. You are a danger to any one else on the road due to your paranoia. Good Luck with that, I don't know how people can live a normal life without knowing how to drive. |

It's sometimes hard to overcome the fear of driving but you gotta think about it....why? Because it is an awarding experience. You have freedom to do things you want to do that you could otherwise not do without finding a ride or using your parents. From experience I can tell you I was invovled in a pretty bad car accident back in October of last year. I had a really nice Mitsubishi Galant....to say the least it was totally totalled because of hitting two trees. I will admit that for the first week it was hard getting back to driving but then again you just have to drive with confidence and look out for yourself along with everyone else while on the road. Driving lessons. They'll give you all the confidence you need to drive safely and well, the rest of your anxiety goes away with practice. |

Sign up for a drivers ed course. The instructor should be able to calm your fears. |

I'm pretty much in the same position.
i used to have a moped and on my CBT, i crashed, yet they still passed me. (some CBT school huh?) but i rode it a few times then got scared as i crashed it into my boyfriends car while revving it up the garden path. i just didn't believe i could handle it, so we're selling it.
i'm not old enough to drive yet, but i don't believe i'm gonna learn how to drive yet, gonna wait a few years, so i'm not scared (hopefully)
i'll be 17 in July and legal to learn to drive.
you drove once, you can drive again. just take it easy, try driving at night when the traffic is less, drive around your area, try to get a feel for the car and your confidence up.
take it step at a time.
