Not a good idea to LIE to your insurance company! It's called fraud..... Call your agent and tell him/her what happened. |

Don't lie to the insurance company. That's called FRAUD, and you can go to jail for that. |

Since you have full coverage insurance I would just file a claim of "vandalism", pay your deductable, get it fixed and move on with your life.

You f***ing idiot. Go ahead and claim as comp. -- the damage does not LOOK the same and the appraiser can tell the difference. You will be non-renewed and your ins rates will triple because you will only be able to purchase high-risk coverage.
If you have collision coverage just file a claim! It doesn't matter if you did it if it was an accident.
( I hate morons like you) |

If you claim uner your insurance. The dent the will pay out of collision and the window they will pay out of comprehensive. In most cases depending on the insurance and there thershold rule. The premium can up at the renewal. So the best to do is get a estimate and so if you can afford to fix on your own first. Good Luck. |

The claim vandalism actually works I have a friend who just did this. Her sister reversed her car into her front bumper. She called the insurance company and claimed she was parked in public and when she got back to the car it was dented. They bought the story. So I figure just make sure your story adds up. |

uuuh... that would be unethical, wouldn't it? Even if you get the insurance to pay for the repair, they would raise your rates in the future, so just pay for it yourself. |

i would just forget that??
how do u break ur own window!?!??!?!?! |

You can either fix it yourself (save yourself a rise in your monthly insurance payment) or call your insurance company and file a claim. They will fix it but I would expect you must pay your deductable, whatever that may be. |

You could report it to your insurance provider but at the risk of driving your rates up. I would suggest going to a scrap yard and replacing the window yourself. And leave insurance out of it. But... you do have full coverage so they would repair the window for you. |

Blame it on a minority. |

I would get an estimate on the damage versus your deductible. If its less then the deductible there is no point to report it since you are responsible for that amount anyway. Even if its a little more then your deductible you may want to consider paying for it yourself and same the claim for when there is major damage. Even minor claims can increase your premium every year. |

You can use fix it yourself or have your insurance company fix it. It doesn't matter - it will probably cost you more if you go through your insurance company because they will most likely raise your premium. |

No either way it's going to hurt your insurance premium. Not to mention insurance fraud is a jail-able offense not worth it for less than $500 in damage is it? If it's a dent does it really matter?? Does it affect the overall car. Is it so bad that you don't mind your insurance premium going up??
Windows are usually less than what a normal deductible runs. Anywhere from $150-300. Unless you have $100 deductible which I doubt....most have $500-$1000. |

If tell your insureance that somebody else did it thats insurance fraud. It will much wiser for you to fix it yourself. |

Don't lie, that makes everybody's premium increase, including yours. Fix it |

It doesn't matter whether you broke it or someone else did -- unless you can provide contact information for the "other" person (to have their insurance pay for it, or determine that they're uninsured) the case will be handled the same: you pay for repairs up to your deductable, and they pay beyond it.
So go get an estimate. If it's below or up to your deductible, get it fixed yourself and don't report it. If it's above, decide if it's worth it to have your insurance cover the above-deductible price in return to (possibly) increased rates. For instance, if your deductible is $500, and the damage costs $550 to fix, I would just pay for it out of pocket. |

well it's wrong, but if the insurance company fixes it, your future premiums will increase. so you'll most likely end up paying more in the long run because of it. i suggest you fixing it without the insurance company and try to be more careful next time. |

If you can fix it yourself inexpensively you should , because if you call it in it's a claim that is on your record and too many claims close together in a short period of time can lead to non-renewal |
