depends on what you lost your liscence for. they may specify that drugs are to be tested for because of what you were doing at that time. drug screening is not called for in most cases. |

Yes, they test for anything that could affect your health and driving, which will include such things as your physical condition, diabetes, epilepsy, scheduled drugs, alcohol etc., so you should lead a r e a l l y clean lifestyle from now on and not take or smoke anything illegal. Needless to say, this goes for when you get your licence back too. Good luck |

It completely depends on why it was taken away. If it was drug related then yes. |

I think they test for all of the big drugs
but no offence or anything, but you should be on the road if you're on cannabis. |

Yes they will test for drugs, you say that you are getting your license back if you was banned they are very stricked so you will have to prove your not on drugs drink or anything else that would affect driving ability |

They will take blood samples and check your body for all kinds of drug usage. They will also test your reflexes and eyesight.....
Stop smoking now... if you can and you might be ok as cannabis only stays in the body for a short time.
Good luck x |

They will test for everything, especially drugs if you were banned for driving under the influence of drugs. |

does anyone actually know the answer to this??? Indefinate 100% sure??? I have the same problem of wanting to know that seems as the ban was because of drink driving, yes i know that they take bloods, urine sample etc, but when the test is carried out, do they check for certain levels of GGT, MCV & ALT only as these are the 'alcohol' dependancy levels, but do they specifically look for the levels of THC in the blood?? Or would it simply be a case of them showing up in the results and confronting you about them?? if you dont actually KNOWS this for a FACT (personal experience, doctor, dvla worker, someone who would know 100% the actuall answer) then please dont bother expressing 'an opinion' as i just want the facts .. Thanks :) |
