The cab company said they'd contact me. But they haven't and its been a few days already.

You should have contacted your insurance agent right away...do it now...don't wait....the cab company is not in the business to make your life easier..

Contact yours and give them the information. They will tell you what to do next.

yours--they will contact his

contact yours no matter what the cab company says. That's what insurance is for. Get a copy of the ticket from the police station also to prove fault.

First contact your insurance company and make a report about the accident. Ask them what steps you should take next, and follow their advice, that's why you pay them.

No matter who's at fault you should always let your insurance know, it's the only way to protect yourself!

Contact your own & give them all the info. They then fight it out. That's why they get the big money from us!

You should always report any accident to your insurance company regardless of who was at fault. This is a condition of your policy. If you do not report the loss, your insurance company could potentially, deny any claim that may be presented against your policy. Meaning, if the cabbie decides to file a claim against you despite the fact he may be at fault, the insurance company can potentially deny coverage to you. This varies from state to state however. If you have an agent, go ahead and report the loss to them. You can advise your insurance company that you are pursuing a claim against the cabbie's carrier for your damages. As an FYI, I have dealt with many livery service insurance carriers in the past, and usually they take their sweet time resolving claims. You would be better off going through your own Collision Coverage. Your insurance company will then subrogate against the cab's insurance.

I would get copies of all documents and contact your insurance agent to get them in the loop.

Contact yours to keep them in the loop but contacting there insurance company can sometimes speed thing up

Your insurance company is there to work for you, that's why you pay a premium. If you have collision coverage, call your ins. co. and get repairs started, they will send a "subdemand" to the cab company. If your injured, call the cab company ins. also, it will make your claim move a lot quicker.
