No, they have no idea what damage a car can cause.They get confused and run back across the road. I always manage to live near deer, on an Ohio farm, Texas ranch and now in the foothills of Angeles forest in California. Night is especially dangerous. If you know where they usually run across the road make sure you drive slower and flash your lights to oncoming traffic if you just passed them. They travel in groups of two or more especially in hunting/mating season. |
