DUI is completly seperate from just a standard ticket. They will not just write it off unless you were under legal limit when you did the breath test.
But even still you still have to take the classes that are required by the law and your county requirements.
And if you did not blow under the legal limit then well there is nothing that you can do but except the consequences such as jail time, community service, classes, fines, and drivers licenses taken away.
But if you are wanting to have the best deal worked out for you then you are needing to hire an attorney, that will be your only hope. |

discuss it with the judge on your court date. dress up and be sincere and own up to what you did. come at it from "i was wrong" rather than "wasn't me." |

In the state of South Carolina it wouldn't do any good. DUI automatically means you lose your license for 1 year and then have to carry SR22 for 3 years. I don't know if it is like that in your state. |

Depends on your state, however they would remove the points on your driving history and keep it on the MVR. That means it could still affect your insurance rate. |

If you live in California you can always take drivers school for and moving violation. Even if you have taken it twice before for the same offense. Just write the Judge and explain yourself. Also by law an insurance company must accept any completed drivers school form. |
