I just got a notice of non renewal for my car insurance, how easy is it to get a new policy?

The reason they stated was an accident I had that was not my fault ( insurance company recovered everything they paid out for fixing my car and I even got my deductible back) and a second accident that we had when my husband was driving that we were hit broadside on a parkway.... Obviously not our fault. We have been insured by this company for forty years....

I forgot to add that we have impeccable driving records and have never gotten a ticket.

You should have no problems getting another policy. Some companies may be weary of the fact the you were dropped so you might have to look around a little. If you have proof that the accidents weren't your fault though your premiums shouldn't even go up. Try the source I've listed below. Not only do they have great rates but they would never drop your insurance because someone hit you. Being in an accident is stressful enough you shouldn't have to deal with this on top of everything else.

I have progressive but I also have an agent. I would call your agent if you have one--b/c they will NOT want to lose you as a customer. If you really like the insurance company I would go as far as you can and complain and even deal to get it lower. But I'm sure there are many insurance companies that won't your business.

As I know it accepts everyone.
Your company did so cause you had two claims in short time.

What are your deductibles? Maybe they'll let you stay with them if you raise your collision deductible. Also, if there are only 2 not-at-fault accidents on your record, you should have no problems at all finding another company. They may need proof that the accidents were not your fault, so i hope you have a copy of the police report or can easily get it.

That is horrible. An insurance company happily takes your money for 40 years then in your time of need....

It should be easy to get a new policy. Shop around for a small company. They will be cheaper than the big 3.

Allstate has a good deal going on now.Its very cheap now You can just go with car and its registration and sign up for new policy, pay down payment, they print you your insurance card, and you can start driving from that moment itself.

Once you've been canceled or non-renewed, most standard companies are wary of you. By all means try your agent if you have one; he/she may be able to persuade the company to change its mind. If not, bite the bullet and get another company, even if it does cost more, and maintain your good record; it'll come back down.
