Okay so on Monday, I was parked on one side of the street and because of street cleaning I uturned across the street into two other cars that were parked and some lady backed up trying to park in thee space that i was in. she did not look back i guess. It's clearly her fault but the thing is that that car does not have insurance. My other 3 cars are insured just that one is not because my brother gave it to me to sell. I am wondering what is going to happen because she reported to insurance.
Wiill i get in trouble? ( I'm under 18) Do i get money from her insurance company? Will I have to pay for her damages even though it was 100% her fault? and what do i do now? Her insurance agent called me but i called back and cannot get a hold of her. Thanks for the help

o.k u will go to jail for like one week only not a problem it is just one week l.o.l no just kiding same thing happen to me dont panic nothing will happen to u there insurance will not charge u anything they cant charge anything to u because for a simple fact that the car was parked and u are under age and not in the road the only problem is that ther insurance company will not pay any damages in ur car because of the fact that ur car dosent have insurance and u cant pay there damage and there insurance cant pay u because u dont have insurance there insurance are only going to pay there car for there damages??? |

most states will ticket you for driving with out insurnace. You may or may not get money from her company.You shouldnt have to pay for her damages since it was her fault. |

If it's her fault, then her insurance pays, as long as she acknowledges her fault to her insurance company, or to the police. Simple. |

Don't stress
If the insurance company agrees that it was her fault, the OWNER of the car will get money to repair the car.
If your brother owns the car it is his responsibility to have insurance on it.
Have your brother call his insurance company (if he had one) and they will get it started. Or you can keep trying the other driver's agent until you get ahold of them.

Ok here is the deal. There was an accident. However would that accident have occurred had the un-insured vehicle not been on the road? With that the vehicle lacking insurance should not have been on a public road. You will not receive any money from damages and you are responsible for the other car. Have the police contacted you yet? If the insurance company had been notified then an accident report must have been made. You will most likely be going to traffic court. There you will be assessed a fine for driving without insurance. Here you would be assessed 4 points for the infraction. Also here the fine is at least $1,000.00. However if you can pay the court costs and fine on the day of court the amount may be lowered. Then the other car. No of any good body shops? Plain and simple, why should get any money for the damages when the car you were driving should not have been on the road? |
