I know NOTHING about Drivers Ed!?

I'm 15, turning 16 soon, and I know nothing about Drivers Ed. I'm in Texas, by the way.
I don't know the requirements for a learner's permit or license.
I don't know the differences between learning online, parent taught, or learning in an actual class (besides the obvious fact of who's teaching you).

My dad wants me to learn online. How would that even work? What are the advantages of learning online? What are the advantages of taking an actual class? How often do you go to class for Drivers Ed? My parents don't have time to take me back and forth to Drivers Ed class.
What are the requirements of getting your permit? Requirements for your license?
Let's assume that I am completely clueless in this subject (safe assumption). What do I need to know about Drivers Ed before I sign up for it?

There is too much to write down so read this site because its very helpful........but in my opinion the drivers ed classes would be a lot better overall for you..
