Oh, it's California. You have forms to fill out. It's $14, but more importantly, it can take at least 12 weeks (3 months.)

Yes it costs money. Where ever you were born is where you could find it. You could contact that state online or something, but that's probably the only place you could find your birth cirtificate.

You have to go to the City Hall in the town or city where you were born. If there's a fee, it' nominal.

You have to contact "Records" of the County in which you were born. The cost differs depending on the location.

You can't because you no longer exist.... j/k Yes, you need to find your local goverment office that handles ss and such. You can also contact the hospitial at which you were born. They may be able to supply you with one.

Contact the town or city where you were born, they should have a Department there that maintains birth records. It usually costs only a few dollars and a trip for a copy. Make sure that they gove you a CERTIFIED copy, with a raised seal and not just a photo copy.
