I need help with car accident info?

Okay, first off I don't know what to do, I am stupid I know, please don't rub it in. Okay here's the deal;
Yesterday I was driving in Washington, I was in an accident. I rear ended a car, that braked too quickly in front of me. I got out and asked for the guys info and he did not have a license or insurance. I did not call the police because I was mostly freaking out at the time. I have not called my insurance company yet. I don't know if I will get in trouble or not. I can not afford to fix his vehicle or the premium... I'm worried because the man said his neck hurt, although I was driving at 10 miles an hour. I need advice on what I should do. Please help me. It appeared to me that his trunk and light were the only things damaged but he is claiming the chasey is bent. What should I do at this point?

In some states, a driver that doesn't have insurance or license is automatically at fault. When you talk to your insurance company, be sure to tell them that. That might get you off the hook.

If the driver sues you for medical bills and pain and suffering, get a lawyer. Don't agree or sign anything until you speak to a lawyer. It sounds like he is trying to get some money for faking injuries.

Call your insurance company, that is what they are there for. And next time, call the police. Especially since that driver did not have a license or insurance.

When the other driver didn't have insurance or a license, you needed to call the police. When the other driver complained of pain, you needed to call the police. When he said that his chasey was bent, when it appeared that only the trunk and light were damaged, you needed to call the police. Call your insurance carrier at once. Give them all of the information that you have. Do not deal with the other driver directly--let your insurance carrier deal with the situation now.

WHY CALL THE INSURANCE COMPANY IF YOUR CAR ISN'T DAMAGED SO YOU PAY FOR THE OTHER GUYS CAR? The driver probably had a stolen car so the guy won't do anything. Even in court if you get sued if it is a state where no license or insurance puts all fault on driver HE STILL WILL have to show license and insurance that was valid at the time.

you should. 1 have him show proof of injuries. (ex. medical bill. or something from a doctor) 2 have him show you proof of a damaged chassis ( ex auto repair bill )

Call a lawyer and ask him. Only he can give you the advice you need. If it were me, I would have called the police and reported it.
