I am looking for car insurance and from where i am at right now with geico i will be paying over 300 dollars and thats the cheapest i could find. im currently 17 i have a permit not a licence and im about to turn 18 in a month. would it be cheaper to wait till im 18 should i get my licence now? im so confused......

There is no such thing as cheap insurance for a 17-24 year old person. Simply call around for quotes. Also, it is always more expensive to pay by the month as opposed to yearly or twice yearly. |

OK Ken, if knowledge is power, you're definitely a wimpy entry level fool. I've never heard of anybody saying something as foolish as an insurance company not being able to give a minor their own policy. Parents are not forced to insure their children, as you would indicate. I had auto insurance at 16 and motorcycle insurance at 17. Both were with State Farm and were under my name. However, I was paying $300/month also at that age. Now I'm paying $600/yr for my car and motorcycle with Geico. It's just the age, and it doesn't go down unless you have insurance for a year+ so bite the bullet and pay. |
