I lost the title of my car, but, have the bill of sale in my name. Can I still sell my car? What do I need to do for the person who wants to buy it? Please give details on what needs to be done, if anything.....thanks

Nope, the bill of sale only means it was SOLD to you. To sell it to someone else, you need to sign the TITLE over to them - it's proof that you own the car, ya know?
Anyway, go down to your DMV and apply for a duplicate title. It should be mailed to you in a couple weeks. Then you can sign that title over to whoever you want. |

Apply for a lost title replacement, at the same place you get your tags etc. |

Apply for a lost title with the DMV. They will issue you one for a fee. Otherwise meet the person you are selling it to at the DMV and take care of all the paperwork there. |
