Like the guy said, totaled car are often repaired. Totaled simply means that the carrier considered and paid as if the car was a total loss.
Since 1999, when my Toyota was ¨totaled¨, I have logged another 85,000 oh,-what-a-feeling trouble free miles.
Likely the loss check simply covered the itemized repairs listed on the estimate.
CARFAX is $20 for a one time use for complete history and $25 for lifetime access. It provides reports on used cars including the vehicle's history, odometer reading, date a salvage/junk title was issued, if it was a rental car, and more.

depends on how much the check ammount is.
FYI totaled cars are repaired quite often. A total isn't ALWAYS a completely demolished vehicle. Some totals are very easily fixed. People don't always disclose the fact to buyers.....that it's a repaired car. |

if your car has been totaled they wouldn't have fixed it because totaled is a total loss, as in costs more to fix it than what its worth, i dont think its possible to have a totaled car. |

Well, most likely - but it depends - it could have had the engine replaced at some point or something. Look for anything suspicious on the car like warped this, or cracked and rusting that. If the paintwork on the car doesn't feel smooth all over - someone may have used bog (builder's mix) to fill a hole or something. |
