From what I know about people who have been caught speeding (including my ex!) which is 3 points, the going rate seems to be @ £30 increase, regardless of age & car type. |

Uh - don't worry about it, they will only increase your premium by on average £45. I know this because i got 3 points on my licence and didn't declare it. Then when i made a claim they let me off, and said i had to pay £15 per each point. So relax. |

Any moving violation that you are convicted of that gives you points will be seen by your insurance company when they look around renewal time. It certainly *could* raise your rates if they see you as higher risk as a result of it. Only your insurance company can tell you if they will. |

Usually convictions do affect the cost of your insurance. Some companies will not charge you any extra and its only when you have two or more convictions that they start to charge.
It is always better to disclose any convictions (including speeding) as if the company find out a conviction you haven't disclosed and you have an accident they are fully within their rights to void the claim and this could affect you getting insurance with other companies. |

At the moment it doesn't seem to make much difference, but at least one major insurer is planning to take severe notice of mobile phone penalties as it amounts to not having proper control. |

In many renewal situations this will increase your premium - however you might find an insurer that will beat your renewal anyway meaning that you'll not feel a difference.
Why not get a quote from Confused.com and see how much it might be at renewal? |

I do not know how your company operates or what State you are in. It depends what those points are for. Accidents (at least in Texas) carry quite a bit of weight on the premium. Usually a speeding ticket does not affect it that much. Accidents will make you notice right off the bat. |
