the title is in my name. i have told them on several occassions to give me back my plates the refused and is currently driving around w/out ins on it should i just take the car she paid for it but it is in my name alone i'm gatting all the flac from nysdmv

Report it stolen. Or take them to small claims court.

dumb ***..... you are legaly responsible for that car. If it gets in to an accident you have to pay, stolen , hurts some one you will have to pay. Tickets again on you . Deal with your friend and have it retitles and regegestered or report it stolen ...

You are stuck with the tickets since it is in your name.
But since it is, you have the right to go get it back.
Find a vehicle repossesor in your area and give them the proof of your name on the title and have them go get it back.
Lesson learned: don't agree to put your name on anything that you don't want responsibility for.

Let's just say that person gets in a very serious accident in a car with your name on the title. The victim is hurt badly or even killed.

The person you lent the car to has no insurance and no money. Who do you think the lawyers are coming after? Your friend. No....they'll come for you and everything you own. Can you afford that liability risk?

So go get the car back as soon as you can.

so you could call the police and take it back if you really wanted to go there.

when it comes down to it its all on you regardless if they payin.. if they stopped payin it would be on you right??

Bite the Bullet and call the Police and inform the DOT. Bad mistake to begin with regardless if their friend or family.
