Trust them in what way? They may take steps to keep it out of court, but then again, depending on the jurisdiction and facts of loss, they may let it go to court....especially if it is as you say, uninsured, unlicensed, illegal. Some cases you want in front of a judge/jury. That could be interesting....
But someone else mentioned turning them in? That's funny, never thought of that...go for it. See what happens. Problem may be solved just that simply. |

And let me add, what kind of idiot are you to just walk away from an unlicensed, uninsured, illegal immigrant hitting you? One call to police to report his accident he'd be in jail and on his way for deportation already, along with the 20 passengers in his corolla. |

There are so many things wrong in that picture. If there is a contributory negligence clause in your state laws, the illegals are to blame because had they not been illegally driving, the accident would never have occurred.

Yes. Your insurance company must defend you in this kind of suit. If he hit you and he has no insurance this is a nuisance case...he's hoping for a settlement. Geico won't give him one. |

I wouldn't trust them, but shame on you for letting them go.
Even if they give you money to keep quiet you should still call it in. That is if they are uninsured, unlicensed, and illegal immigrants. They will get what they deserve.
Next time if there is one, call the cops as soon as you know they guy doesn't have insurance. It's your right to make sure that your car gets fixed, and its your responsibility. |

an uninsured, unlicensed, illegal immigrant can and do drive our roadways and can kill, maim and destroy our lives and there is nothing we can do about it....BUT he can sue you and he can win and win big. he will sue your insurance company first and then go after whatever you have and there is nothing you can do about it.
i have a friend who works in insurance and this is the new scam, illegals purposely get hurt on the job or in car 'accidents' then get a lawyer and sue for millions and win. a prime example is a local resort had a lot of illegals working for them through local contractors the illegals would sprain, break ankles, wrists etc. and hire an attorney...the resort just settled a case for 2.6 million dollars to an illegal who dropped a load of bricks on his foot and broke two toes... |

If he is illegal immigrant, he doesn't have the right way to the US laws. If he comes to the court, they will hand-cuff him and send him back to where he belongs. The other people in the car at the time will not have a case if the paintiff isn't present.
I am not a law officer, just my 2 cents thought. |

well depends, if you were hit then he doesnt have much of a case. but if your at fault it doesnt matter hes illegal because immigration has nothing to do with the case. the court will look at the accident as an isolated incident and make a judgement on the facts of the accident. |

If your insurance co. said not to worry,I would say that the "undocumented immigrants" are full of refried beans.The insurance agent would know if they have any kind of valid lawsuit,don't sweat it let Geico handle it. |

That happened to me as well but I will never be the same in my option it is the state is a fault for putting you in that it was not your fault like mine but my life has changed for the worse if they state needs to do there jobs obey the fed (enforce) we would not have these issues get them out we can not help them right now. don't go down wiennin...... |
