I was in a car accident yesterday. The girl crossed a red light and smashed into me. My car spun out 2-3 times and finally stopped. My ACL in my shoulder was injured and my shoulder joint may be damaged. Now i have to wear a sling in the mean time for 2 weeks.
Also, at the time of the accident I was irresponsible and had no car insurance. What will happen next? How do I proceed? There were 3 witnesses that saw her cross the redlight. I mean my light was completly green. It wasnt going into yellow or anything, it was green. She totally passed the red light. She admited to the police she crossed the red light and like I said 3 other people saw it. What now?? HELP!!!

Potentially, you could be cited for driving without insurance but the other driver's insurance should cover the damages and your injuries. You should contact the other driver's insurance company and explain what happened. They may or may not pay depending on their policy on uninsured motorists. Perhaps you could find a local attorney if the other insurance company won't help. |

It depends on the state that you live in. My state is a no fault state which means all my medical had to go through my insurance company up to $20000 and then it went through my health insurance. You will have to check the laws in your state. |

Texas law says you are not liable for anything cause you are uninsured. The person that is at fault insurance in not liable to pay either. You will get a ticket for no insurance and the other party will be ticketed for causing the accident. |
