ok i was in a car accident on 11/25/2007 the other driver was driving on th wrong side of the street when he merged into my lane when i was in stop position due to the fact that cars were going to hit him head on now his insurance is giving me hard time and being very rude to me my insurance wont do nothing about it plus they want me to take my car in to a shop to get inspected but i have to leave my car from 8 am - 5 pm when i have no other form of transportation they are not willing to go to my residents or were my car may be at due to the fact that i am able to drive my car what should i do plus they dont want to pay me for loose wages that i am not going o be able to come to work and a car rental if i may need one and this is Mercury giving me the hard time what is there i can do?? please help me someone i need some advice

ok i did call the police they did arrive to the were the accident accour but all they said since no one injured and it was not a hit and run that they will not file a police report and to just exchange information which i did and that there was nothing else that can be done regarding this isssue my insurance does not want to talk to his insurance and take car of it they want me to take my car to a specific shop of their choice i dont think that is right i should be able to take my car were i want and should the inspector go were my car is at or do i need to talke it in to a shop to get inspected?? thats my question do you think i will need a laywer and what will i be able to sue them for??

WOAH!! First slow down and learn to use periods. Your loooong run on sentences are hard to read.
Now, if your vehicle is driveable and you are making a claim w/ Mercury insurance, you have to follow their procedures. They are not going to pay an inspector to chase you and your vehicle down to view the damages. You need to go to the location the specified. The inspection should not take more than 30 min.
Retaining a lawyer will not change their procedures. And you will not be compensated for lost wages for taking your vehicle for the inspection. That is your responsibility to mitigate your own damages. Maybe someone else can take the vehicle for you while you are working, or call the insurance company and see if you can go somehere on your day off. |

first off, you need to comply with the insurance companys request for the car to be inspected. second, find an insurance AGENT that will help you next time. if you have insurance through a company direct, cancel it and move to an AGENT! people think a cheap rate is good until they have these problems on claims and have no agent to help them through the process. if you actually DO have an agent now, fire his *** and find a good one. |

My sister in law had the same problems when her parked van, containing her 3 young sons was hit by a drunk driver. I suggest you talk to a lawyer that handles car accidents! |

This is when you develop that sore neck problem during the phone conversation. You call the agent up and ask for what you need. Then if the agent does not give it to you tell him that you been feeling this sore neck thing after the accident and you may have to go in for additional check up. |

Most insurance companies will give you a hard time trying to get out of paying anything. If you can't or won't stand up to them and demand what is rightfully yours (assuming you know your rights), you should hire a lawyer. |
