IM 16 AND I GOT PULLED OVER.PLZ HELP.

I GOT PULLED OVER 2 DAYS AGO FOR ''SPEEDING'',THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED, I WAS IN THE RIGHT LANE AND THE LANE ENDS SO U HAVE TO MERGE TO THE LEFT LANE,BUT NONE OF THE CARS WOULD LET ME MERGE TO I WENT TO THE FRONT AND A LADY LET ME MERGE IN FRONT OF HER,THEN ABOUT 30FT AHEAD I SAW A HELMET STICKING OUT OF THE BUSHES AND SURE ENOUGH IT WAS A COP. BUT THE LADY WAS RIGHT BEHIND ME SO THE IT TOOK THE COP A WHILE TO GET IN BACK OF ME AND PULL ME OVER.HE SAYS I WAS GOING 23MPH OVER BUT I KNOW I WASNT I DONT DRIVE THAT FAST.IM 16 SO I HAVE TO GO TO COURT NOW. IVE NEVER GOTTEN IN ANY TYPE OF TROUBLE BEFORE.I HAVE A SUPER CLEAN RECORD AND AM TAKING COLLEGE PREP CLASSES.IM ALSO A CADET IN THE MARINE ROTC. AND AN ENTERING THE POLICE EXPLORERS.WHAT SHOULD I DO? AND WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO ME? PLZ I REALY NEED HELP.THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.:(

Go to the court date.
Be professional. Dress professional.

Tell the judge that you understand that when you take oath, you understand what it means to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth & that is what you will offer him today.

Were you clocked on radar?? If you weren't let him know, that you strongly feel you were not going that fast.

Let the judge know, you understand the meaning of safe driving, and feel strongly against speeding as you aware of the damages it can cause.

Be poised, not defensive.

You most likely will get a reduced fee.

first, have your keyboard checked-out, the caps lock is stuck.

second, attend the hearing as required. show up early and watch a few cases proceed.

you will get an idea of the workings of the court.

sounds like you sped up to get ahead rather than merging.

what was the speed limit? what was your speed? how do you know what speed you were going?

best bet is to plead no contest and pay the fine.

driving for only a year with no tickets/accidents is not indicative of a good driver.

In some states that is an illegal move. They say you should blink and wait. Sometimes that is hard, Especially when you are in a hurry. Something similar happened to a friend of mine when she was 16. Her mom was in the car and knew the girl wasn't going as fast as they say. She got the fine anyway. From what I hear, the best thing to do is admit guilt. She tried to fight it and her fine held up. Another friend showed up, admitted that she may have been speeding and they reduced the fine.

Oh, don't be in such a panic over a speeding ticket. If you can't handle this, there isn't much you'll be able to handle on down the road. In the grand scheme of things this is extremely minute. Learn from it and move on.

You are probably just best off accepting it and paying the fine. If you put up a fight it will just make more problem and you have no proof to go on for what you did or didn't do.

If you were to agree that ok *maybe* (to appease them) you did something wrong out of inexperience and the traffic and you will try to avoid the same mistake, I can't see how anyone would bother to give you a hard time. Your age and being apologetic and willing to take the responsibility could be to your advantage.

And honestly, were it me, if no one would let me in, then hell...when I get to the end of the lane then I'm just going to break and either sit there until I can get in or carefully push my way in if there is a space to do so. If others aren't thrilled, so be it.

Depending on your state I would go ahead and get a lawyer for a few bucks more he can make that disappear of you record. In Illinois 20 over the limit is reckless diving and can cost big bucks.

Go to the court date, and explain to them what happened, they may give you a different citation, like unreasonable and imprudent speed......

Well, the best suggestion that I have for you is this. I would attend court and dispute the ticket, it's as simple as that. Have them prove with that much traffic on the roadway that you were the guilty party going that fast. Also, in situations where you're trying to merge if you had to go that fast then this means other individuals were going the same speed, thus why were you targetted by this police officer?

You could argue that his radar wasn't registering an accurate number based on the variables.

trust me, I know people who have gotten out of worse tickets.

Poor baby got a ticket take your mommy with you she might get you out of it. To start with when going down to one lane doesn't mean speed up so you can be first that causes accidents. Maybe your mom will take you out for ice cream after court. All of that other means nothing in front of the judge.
Oh and it is spelled please not plz.
