I LIVE IN MAINE AND IM 16 AND I HAVE MY PERMIT AND HAVE DONE WAY OVER 35 HOURS, WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO GET MY LICENSE IN N.H
IN MAINE YOU HAVE TO WAIT 6 MONTHS N.H SAID I CAN GET IT THERE
I NEED A I.D AND MY PERMIT
BUT DO I NEED ANYTHING ELSE
MY FRIEND TOLD ME I NEEDED TO SIT IN ACAR AND WATCH SOMEONE DRIVE FOR TWO HOURS? MAIEN DOESNT DO THT?

You said you live in Maine, so you are a legal resident of Maine & will need to obtain your license through a DMV office there & follow all of the state of Maine's requirements for teen drivers to obtain your license. What the laws are for teens in NH to obtain their driver's license have no bearing on you whatsoever & do not apply to you in any way, shape or form.
You cannot go to New Hampshire & get a license because you do not live there. If you attempt to do that, you and your parents could be facing possible criminal charges. The only way you can get a NH license is if you physically move there & your family establishes a permanent residence in that state.
Then since you already have a Maine Instructional Permit, you can see what needs to be done to transfer your permit over to NH to then LEGALLY be able to get a NH license. But you will have to follow all of the requirements of the state of New Hampshire to qualify for your license afterwards. |

You need to be a New Hampshire resident and have a legitimate New Hampshire address. Using a dummy New Hampshire address and claiming to be a resident is illegal (fraud) and can have some serious consequences including eligibility to attend school, receive financial assistance for school, and tax consequences for your parents. |

i have a friend who lost her license in the state of maine and will not get it back until sept 2012. in march she is able to apply for a work permit in the state of maine. however she is moving to nh is there anything like that in nh where she is going to live here. or can she apply for a license in nh period. |
