She has her own car and own insurance on it, if I name her on mine and I make a claim on my own policy would it effect her insurance on her own car at all? (I'm NOT named on her policy)

As far as I am aware no insurance company asks "Have you been a named driver on a policy that has had a claim". |

No, she would have to only advise if it was her making a claim.
Her NCB is for her policy nothinhg to do with yours. If you car is a basic cheap car and you are not bothered about having comp cover your mum should have a third party extention on her policy where you do not need to name her but she would only have the third party cover is why the question.
If the car is worth something then have her named she would then have the same cover as you and the first part of the reply is still correct |
