Insurance for a 16 year old is going to be high regardless of the car.

Since a 16 year old cannot buy their own insurance, they would have to be carried on their parents policy. The increase for adding a 16 year old driver to the policy is huge.

Depending on where you live, how far you drive the car, where it's regularly garaged, what the family history is for accident claims, any tickets or criminal convictions, etc, the policy can jump up from a thousand dollars a year to more than six or seven thousand dollars a year.

Insurance rates are always high for teengers regardless of the car they're driving....My advice is that you go under one of your parents/guardian insurance policy. You save more money that way.

ya kinda. not really bad though. cars that are coupe or have higher horsepower or stock turbos or chargers have higher insurance.
