Despite what most people believe, rear end accidents do NOT automatically find the rear vehicle at fault (though about 99% of the time it is the case). If the other car was at fault for the loss it seems logical that his/her insurance should cover the damages on your car. |

It depends on the situation. If you are sitting still at a red light and they hit you-their fault. If you are rolling down the highway and slam on brakes-your fault. |

Depends on if you're in a true no-fault state or not. Normally, if there are TWO cars involved, the guy in the back is at fault for everything, and HIS collision pays HIS damages, subject to his deductible, and his liability pays YOUR damages, up to his policy limit.
In a true no fault state, each person ONLY collects under their own policy. No coverage, no pay. |

As a general rule, when someone rear ends you, they are at fault. But that's not always true. For instance, if you were stopped in a lane or driving unreasonably slow, you could be at least partially at fault. But again, usually the other driver is at fault and his or her insurance covers the damages. |
