depends on your doctors, your attorney, their attorney, if they had insurance, if they even own anything, or if someone catches you carrying groceries, or walking normal, or doing anything that can prove your lying, for many years to come while they settle it. So if your rich, and they have good insurance, and are millionaires, you stand a good chance. If you dont have enough savings to sustain yourself and stay hidden for four or five years, then you mite stand a chance of a little.

It's not like winning the lotto, you would be fairly compensated for your loss, so they would fix your truck, and pay your medical bills. It's not a way to making money.

it depends on his insurance policy.
If his liability is $25,000. You won't get more than that for your vehicle.
If his bodily injury is $250,000. They won't pay more than that for your medical.
But, you may be able to sue the driver for more.
Talk to a lawyer.
With all this said, don't be going out & pulling out in front of every drunk in town. It really isn't worth the risk of losing your life

If he had insurance, his insurance company would pay to indemnify you.

Indemnification means they would pay enough to fix your truck and pay your medical bills so you were back like you were before the accident.

The likelihood of you suing an insurance company and coming out rich for no reason is very small.

I have over 20 years experience in this topic so here goes! You will get what ever your insurance company feels is usual and customary minus the deductible.

If the person that hits you has no insurance and you do not have uninsured motorist coverage, you get what ever your carrier will cover. No one gets rich from accidents.

Millions of dollars is very rare and requires an equal amount of damage i.e. severe brain damage, amputation of multiple limbs etc.

Keep coverage above (way above) minimal limits and hope you never make a claim.

I knew a guy who totaled 58 cars over an 18 month period, and made out with a profit of $750K.

He had fake identities and the whole 9 yards.

He was having a really good time until he went to prison for insurance fraud.

A drunk driver hit me while i was in the street walking away from my car infront of my house. He did a hit and run, the military police just now caught him after i was in a cast for 5 in a half weeks for a few fractures in my hand. Scrapes on my head and on my shoulder. Can i sue him?
