i just want to make this clear that the person this happened to is my mother & she is not being very honest with me, along withe dwi she has 7 tickets and is convinced her insurance will pay for it all

Yes, insurance covers stupidity every day. The only things i have ever seen specifically excluded for things are like racing, driving challenges, fleeing the police, or in a commission of a crime.
Dwi is not something that is usually excluded |

I really don't think that they can get out of it. They might try though. I suppose it would depend on the insurance laws in the state that the insurance was purchased in. |

If she had insurance coverage at the time of the accident, yes, insurance will cover it. But then they will raise her premiums very high based on the risk she exposes them to, or drop her completely. |

It may exclude coverage for DUI.
If not excluded, they have to pay, then cancel you.
Probably cancel you anyway.

If you have Collision Coverage, a DWI will not deny you coverage unless there is a specific exclusion. I have never seen one. |

Yes, a valid policy at the time of the accident will cover. It doesn't matter that she was charged with a DUI........ But.... Her present policy will most likely now be canceled |
