ok so i got a ticket in the mail for hitting a car the other day while baking out, and i knew i was going to get one, and im not agains paying for it but the cop got my name all wrong in so many ways i dont even think its meant to be for me, my name is Cecilia and the tard put Zelzela, nothing like my name at all. so would i still have to pay it, or would it go on my record? i just want to know. kinda curious

Typos on the paper citation can always be corrected in court or amended. That will not get the citation dismissed. the information that will be entered into the computer system will be what shows on your driver's license.
The officer could have wrote on the citation that your name was Mickey Mouse, had the correct address, correct driver's license number, etc also included on the citation & it would still be valid & you would still be responsible for the citation. |
