shure is frain all fluids take off the head spray it down and wipe it take off the oil pan use fans . it takes time but you can do it the rear ends shure be watertight but pull the plug out and check it anyways buy lots of litium greece apply a thincoat to everything. also take off the valve covers . you will need to do the same to transmission . ive sunk my jeep a few times its still on the road . once it was sunk all night |

You would need to put a lot of work into it. Also if it was running when it went under that can cause more problems. If it is just a good dunking you can get by with a good clean up and change all the oils. If it is an automatic transmission, that may create problems too. |

For an Hour? It's totaled. Not only is the wiring needing to be replaced but your looking at the carpet in the car. the Seats. all the gauges, the radio the motor and Transmission. just about everything. Really the only thing that would be good on the car is the paint. After the car finishes rusting. that's the other problem is doors and fenders will not start to rush from the inside out. total the car and get the insurance payout. (If there is one.) |

Mayb be savagable, with lots of work, unless it was salt water, in which case, probably not. Note that to be salvagable, the seats, carpet, etc have to be power shampooed and dried before they get musty, or you will never get the mouldy smell out. My old car was flooded halfway up the doors some years back, it was properly cleaned the next day, and I drove it for years and another 150,000 miles. If the car sits after being soaked, the moisture will start mould and rot in every nook and cranny. Do not try to start the engine without disassembly, cleaning out, and the tranny as well. new fluids all around. Another factor is the value of the car. If it is older, or a cheap car, it is totalled, without a doubt. |

TOTALLED. the water gets into the elctrical wiring, and you have to replace it all..along with the fabric musty smell.. ick |
