Is it safe to say that they have not totaled the vehicle? Does the insurance company pay for car body work in advance or after? I ask this because I'm paying out of pocket for the damage and called the car body service and they gave me an estimate and had already ordered the parts. Yet it was still an estimate? I called the owner of the vehicle and they had said it would take 18

Before you sign a satisfaction agreement take the car to a ASE certified auto technician or the dealership and have the car completely checked to ensure proper repair of the car. The only thing you should have to pay out is your deductible nothing else. Unless you have other repairs done then those are your responsibility. |

If they have authorized repairs, then yes, it is sure that they have not totaled the car. They pay AFTER the repairs have been made. If you are paying for repairs to someone else's vehicle on your own (why would you do that?) then I would advise getting 3 estimates. If your body shop has already ordered parts and you didn't give then the repair job, (signed a repair order) then I guess that is their problem |

if they have given the OK and ordered the parts then they will repair your car and not right it off. |

It safe to say that for right now. When the teardown starts, if more damage is found, they have the right to stop repairs and total it out. I really can't understand why your paying out of pocket if the insurance company is involved? |

your insurance co will first approve the estimate and then authorise the repairer to proceed, upon completion you will be asked to sign a satisfaction note stating you have examined the vehicle and are happy with the quality of the repair,you will have to pay both the excess and the vat before taking the vehicle.The bill will then be forwarded to the ins co for settlement
