If i have a number how can i trace the address without going to the police?

If you're putting in an insurance claim, you need a police report to validate it. Otherwise, if you're just doing the stalker thing, I'm not sure that I want to help with that... sorry!

I seem to remember there being some kind of "Reverse Directory" thing you can do over the Internet, connected to the Yellow Pages, or something like that. I'll bet if you tapped in the right key words in your search engine you'd get it.

You can't. Believe me I have been trying since October 2004 to find my husbands address to divorce him! I even tried the police and they said if he doesn't want to be found there is nothing I can do.

here in the States try Switchboard, use the "search by phone" tab. Otherwise, look at the sites for Reverse Lookup

easy, go to google, search 4 std areas and if u got the std number that shud tell ya where.... just type the sumber in, it will search 4 it.

There are reverse directories, your library should have one.

With the Phone number you can find an address and Name of owners or with the address you can find the phone number and who lives there.

You don't say what number you have.

You can't and DVLA will not release the info without a very good reason

if you mean you have a car registration number and you are insured in the Uk by a leading insurance company and your car has damage you could report the incident "for information purposes only" without actually making a claim. your insurance company can apply to the DVLA for the registered owner of the vehicle. it sounds complicated but i think they can do that.

Hopefully you can not! It would be pretty bad if we could all start doing that - especially with the Data Protection Act! The police can trace it but they will not pass that info to you either. However they can investigate if they need to.

You can go to zaba search and push the button that says reverse phone look up. But be prepared to pay. there is no free ones i looked. Oh and dont be a stalker or anything creepy with the info.

Type the number into your search engine. I use Google. You can also use 411.com to do a reverse phone number check.
