You cannot leagally drive this car until you have road tax if you are caught you will get a hefty fine the police are always on roadsides looking for tax evaders, you will also need a full M.O.T before you can get your road tax. welcome to rip off britain..... |

you cant you must have at all times insurance tax and mot there are no exceptions (unless its off road) if its older then 27yrs there is no road tax but then you need a new car |

You are not legally allowed to drive a car without road tax in the UK ever (you must also have it displayed as you can be fined even if you have it and it isn't on display). If you choose to drive it without the tax and then find yourself in an accident, your insurance WILL NOT cover you. Do so at your own risk!!! (You cannot even park the car on public roads without displaying a tax disc. It must be on private property). |

If the cars over 25 years old, you don't need road tax. Anything under 25 years if you don't have tax you can't legally use it. |

You cant. You Must buy Tax asap.
Technicly you should have the car parked off road untill you get the disk.
However If you are waiting for your insurance covernote to come through you may get away with driving your new car home. You will have to tax it from the start of SEPTEMBER especilly if you have been driving it in September (this includes the journey home)
If you get caught you will be fined, get points and then have to pay for the tax on the car FROM WHEN THE LAST TAX DISK RAN OUT.
They can catch you with CCTV cameras now so dont drive it unless its taxed.
Its cheaper and less hassel to pay money to Gordon Brown for that disk than go to court and pay out even more. |

You need to get it taxed ASAP or else you could face a fine if you get stopped by a police officer. You can use your new keepers slip of the logbook to tax your car, you just need to current mot and an insurance covernote (even if temporary) which allows you to drive the car at the time you go to tax it. |

You will get away with it until your log book comes through usually, it depends on the mood of the cop that stops you though |

You can unless you want to have a fine or the car crushed |

You can stick in the window "Tax applied for" and u should be ok for a week or so. A guiness beer mat sometimes works. You could also say that your mum washed it when u left it in the back pocket of your jeans. Or why not use the best excuse - that your dog ate it. Practice learning these excuses and it will give you something to laugh about whilst your waiting in the police cells to go to court and get fined - u numpty |

U cant, u have to have road tax by law, displayed in the windscreen, that is in date ! It will also mean u have no insurance cover, so in effect you would be breaking the law A LOT ! ! |

You cant drive it legally at all. If the police stop you they might be lenient as you have just bought it, as long as you can prove that. |

You can't drive a car without road tax legally. Failure to display a valid tax disc is against the law.
You wil need to keep the vehicle off public roads until you can obtain a vaild tax disc.
A good place to start would be www.dvla.gov.uk |
