If i have multiple sclerosis will DMV take my driving license away?

The DMV does not have the authority to take your license away. Only the courts can do that. Just because you have MS does not mean you cannot drive. There is no law on the the books that says people with MS cannot have a license. People with all types of diseases go thorough periods where they cannot physically drive. They hold onto their license until they can drive again. I have MS and went blind for four months. It would have been absolutely stupid for me to turn in my license since I would have had to go through the drivers test and pay the associated fees all over again once my sight returned And if you want to give yourself a difficult time, just tell your insurance company that you have MS and they will send you a mountain of paperwork to take to your doctor to fill out. Don't make trouble for yourself.Just use your common sense and don't drive when your MS makes you feel too ill to drive. And if your doctor tells you that you need adaptive devices for driving, go get them.

No, not necessarily. If you are able to safely operate a vehicle, you will retain your license.

Hopefully if you progress to the point where you aren't able to drive safely you will turn it in voluntarily and they won't have to take it away. As the when you reach that point, your primary physician will be the best source for that information, you should ask for prognosis and what you are capable of at each visit.

If DMV not know you have it, then not take license awy.

I suggest you get a note from your doctor regarding your condition, and get that to your auto insurnace company.

The issue is whether or not it is safe for you to be driving.
If you later had an accident, you would not want the insurance company denying your claimes because they say you had this disease and they did not know about it.

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on whether it is presently affecting your ability to operate a motor vehicle safely. DMV will have a medical review board. Good luck.
