No, you need to have comp and collision in order to avoid getting "their" insurance. Contrary to what's been said here, it is absolutely NOT a great idea to always get the rental car's insurance. In many cases then, you'd be double insured. I would recommend always calling your agent if you have a question as to whether or not you should get it. |

no you would need to buy their insurance because on full coverage insurance they cover any vehicle you drive but with liability insurance they only cover medical and the other vehicle. so if you got in an accident you would still owe the wrecker bill. |

Yes, but they'll add $1000 to the "hold" on your credit card. You don't HAVE to buy their collision damage waiver, but if there is any damage to the car, they put it on your credit card. |

I dont believe it is. You usually need to use a crdt crd to rent a car usually visa or mastercard offer insurance already on the card. Call your company and ask them if they have rental insurance w/crdt crd account |

No. You have to buy collision damage waiver from them so that if the rental is damaged it's covered. The liability coverage you have extends to the rental, so no need to buy that insurance. |

Yes, you can still rent a car since your property damage coverage rolls into the rental car. The extra insurance is as follows:
Damage waiver---this is like buying collision for the vehicle for the duration of your rental. It's around 15 dollars a day to buy but well worth it if you damage the rental car. Otherwise damage caused to the rental by you will be paid entirely out of pocket since you do not have collision. Knock on wood it doesn't happen...but, yikes, if it did.
PAI-Personal Accident Insurance---this is first party medical coverage. If you carry MED or PIP on your own policy, there'd be no need to buy this. It's around 5 bucks a day, and well worth it if you get hurt. If you have health insurance, though, you're covered by whatever rules your health care company has.
SLI---You can also opt for additional liability coverage. |
