If your plate expired on your birthday, and it's past your birthday, and you don't have the new stickers, of course you are driving illegally if you are driving. If you are stopped you can get a ticket. |

no. you can go to the website where you register for you sticker and they ask if you would like to print a copy of proof that you have a sticker coming in the mail. This would help just in case you get pulled over. |

The short answer is no, you're not driving illegally. If you were to get pulled over the officer would be able to know if you had any issues with your license and even if he or she wrote you a ticket by the time you would go to court you would have your new license showing that you were covered at the time.
No worries, just drive. But don't attact attention, you don't need the hassle of trying to explain all this on the side of the road.
