Yes. U can get a refund for the remaining term. Depends on ur company though, but most do it on a day by day basis. U might also be charged an admin fee though (which is basically a silly con u have to pay so the insurance company keep a little bit more of your money) - U can't claim any money back if you've made a claim during the period of your insurance policy. |

If the policy is in it's first year, then i would very much doubt it. If you have paid for the year up front, and it is not in it's first year, then you usually get a pro-rata amount back, less the admin fee. |

The only one who's really right here is Barmy. It depends on your insurers. Some will say that you have contracted to buy 12 months cover and that's what you've got, like it or lump it.
If, however, you're thinking of buying another car, ring the company & ask 'em if you can suspend the cover until you've found the new one. You never know, they might play ball! |

if your going to quit the policy then maybe but if you stop it and then buy a car in a month then they may not insure the next one but if your not transferring then ask for a refund and tell them you'll come back in the future ,, |

Yes you can.
For the insurance, the company may ask for the certificate back.
For Road Tax, there's a special form from the Post Office that you fill in and attach the tax disc to, before sending back to the DVLA. You get a pro-rata refund. |

Yes get it sorted soon and make sure you get a certificate from whoever buys your car I forgot and ended up with the police coming round because someone had used it on road to commit a crime even though it had been scrapped !! lol |
