I suggest that you don't report it if it's minor, because chances are, your insurance won't even pay for a minor accident, plus the increase would go up majorly if they found out he got in an accident, especially if he's a young male. I got in a minor accident and it wasn't worth it to even report it to my insurance company. I just paid the expenses and that's it.

Be very careful a small fender bender can cost 2 to 3 thousand dollars to fix. It is a good idea to report the accident and take your chances.
