That depends on the contractual language of the policy you bought. Read it, it's boring but at times can be informative, especially since you agreed to it. |

Actually, I have called my insurance and asked if I give some one permission to drive my car and it gets wrecked, will they be covered? They said yes. I also wrecked my mom's car about a year ago and I was not on her insurance but since she gave me permission, they did pay for it after the deductible. But is also depends on what kind of insurance you have on the car. And since it would be a DUI issue...I'm not really sure they would go for that. The best thing to do is call and ask your insurance. |

Not in the slightest.
In fact, don't be surprised if they cancel your insurance right out.
But beyond that, no, they are liable for your vehicle if it gets damaged by you, or by someone else hitting it.
They will not cover another driver getting into an accident, and definitely not when there's a dui involved in it.
