Find answers to your legal question.

If you're smart, you'll answer this..but do you dare?

Sorry for the stupid "question"..I'm just in dire need of assistance.
I went to the DPS office today and they told me that I'd have to be 18 to take the permit test w/o any driver's ed courses. But some of my friends are driving at the age of 17 without any courses and they legally received their driver's license and everything. This is such a stupid tedious process. Is there any alternative to taking the written permit test? I heard you could go online and apply for one without going to the dps or whatever
AHHH HELP ME I NEED MY DRIVER'S LICENSE WITHIN 2-3 MONTHS

IS IT POSSIBLE? GIVE ME SOME IDEAS!

You want the state to give you a license to drive a lethal weapon and you call it a stupid and tedious process? Driving a car is a HUGE responsibility, one you apparently can't comprehend; instead you're more concerned with keeping up with your friends. Stay off the roads I drive on...PLEASE! until you're mature enough to drive.

Just take the test. We don't need your sorry butt out on the road when you can't even take the test. Some of us have family and friends out there that we don't want you running over because you don't know how to drive.

Muledancer
Those tests are in place to make sure that all (legal) drivers are at least exposed to traffic laws and the rules of the road.

Judging by some of those with whom I commute every day, there are a lot of folk out there who did not comprehend
braking distances
fuel economy
proper use of lanes
the necessity of yielding to emergency vehicles
common roadway courtesy

sµck it in and take the driver's ed course.

Blunt Honesty
Yeah. take the drivers ed course. it's just a few weeks.

ForensicAccountant
Just take the test! Don't loophole them - Their evil - pure evil

The only people I knew who were able to get their driver's licenses early were those with hardship cases. If you qualified for one of those then you probably already would have known you would have. Check into it though.

Odds are you are either going to have to take the classes or wait till you are 18.

?
well, you should take the course online, if its easier! But other than that i don't know of anything good! But i will look it up online and see if I can come up with anything! Then i will answer your question!

I did Driver Ed In A Box and it was easy! Check it out:

You could always enroll in a Driver's Ed course or simply wait until you're eighteen. You sound a tad immature, impatient and spoiled since you don't want to wait until you're legally entitled to drive a vehicle and apparently believe you are above the law. Everybody has to take and pass a written test prior to getting the operator's permit, then wait a requisite amount of time (while practicing), then take and pass the practical.

Slow down - you'll be happier and live longer. So what's the big deal that you have to have a license within the next two to three months? Why don't you rely on public transportation or your obviously spoiled friends to chauffeur you around. Grow up....

What state are you in honey? It helps to know that. The state laws are all different. In KS you can get a permit if your parent or guardian fills out the paperwork saying they have given you a certian amount of hours driving with them.

and OMG Dani I hope I am never on the road with you.

There should be at least one private driver's training school in your area. This would cost $$ but it would be the fastest way.

What i did was have my "mom teach me" but she really didn't teach me. She just paid for the stuff that she needed to teach me on and then I borrowed my friend's quizes from her dps and then my mom signed my thing saying she taught me and then I took the test on computer, which is way better than on paper. Because if you get a certain amount of answers right, it just stops... and doesnt go futher on with the other questions. It was pretty easy for me.

sure it is - anything is possible!

pay someone off at the DPS!
