If there was no damage, I would not. If there was damage, of course I would. Many times a car will tap the bumper of another car, and at low speeds, there is no damage.
Why leave your information if there is nothing hurt?
No harm, no foul!! |

It all depends if I left any damages, if I didn't then I wouldn't but if I did my conscience wouldn't let me leave without a note. |

I always do. I've had it happen to me before and when I claimed it on my insurance, it was covered under the collision coverage.. which meant it gave ME the surcharge! Karma, man. Can't do that to someone else personally. |

If I had damaged it, then yes. A slight touch of bumpers doesnt warrant an insurance claim.
The rule I go by is," would I like it done to myself..? " |

Roger

Would they ?????? |

I couldnt be sure nobody saw me. I wouldnt leave my name and address though. Would leave my mobile phone number so not everyone would know my details.
And this is all dependant on whether there is any visible damage. |

Someone did that to my car in the supermarket car park and did not leave an address. I got the estimate today for the repair. £295.
So thank you very much whoever you are, I needed that right now. |

Meriskie

Yes. Of course I would.
If someone did that to me I would be furious if they hadn't done the decent thing and left their details. |

thats the right thing to do |

Of course. How would you feel if it were your car? If you are religious, it's the golden rule. If not, it's Karma. Either way, do it. |

Yes, I would. Would you like it if somebody bumped into your car and just took off. I believe it is called: hit and run. |

someone hit my car before and left note telling me where she hit it. She putted her name and phone number down, but when i call her back she answered the phone and i was going to say thanks for letting me know i wont charge you, but before i could she hung up on me... oh well |

How do you know no one else saw it? If just one person by chance happened to see and you dont see them (you didnt see the car you hit either) Now you have a hit and run situation which could get you into a lot of trouble. Accept responsibility for your actions. And leave a note. its possible the person wont contact you. Dont be a coward and drive off. |

*I DREAMED A DREAM*

yes,if someone bumped my car ,i would be grateful to them to leave a note with their details.as someone said it is the right thing to do.
would you ??? |

Mr Cat,
Sure, I'd leave my name and contact phone. After all, it's the correct thing to do. |
|

Old Man of Coniston!.
 |
I'm such a good driver I would never bump into any one any way!. Is this a sign of guilt!?. |
|

Julie
|
Well i would like to say yes but i am a bit of a coward so if it was pretty minor,i would probably hope nobody saw and cut and run. |
|

WelshLad

Yes, cause I know how it feels when they don't leave any details cause it happened to me. Put it this way if you decide not to, then in future don't be a hypocrite and go angry if the same happens to you. |

if it was a nice car, like a banz or a lexis or a caddy, i would, but if it's like a 92 honda with one blue door and a primer hood, then no. If its already junky then who cares? |

Mighty Lilywhite
 |
Good question. Im sure I would :0)...
I have heard of people writing out a note saying something like 'sorry i hit your car but didnt want to leave my details' if someone saw them do it. That way it looks like they have left their details and the person that saw will move on without saying anything...... Good idea or wholly dishonest. You decide. |

i would leave name and address of my ex girl friend |

Yes.
You are required to leave your information. Although you may not see any witness, there maybe one or even a security camera that caught you and your license plate. |

I did and I got out of there so fast! |

I did this once on a driving lesson and my instructor told me to drive on quick!
If it happened in a town, there are so many cctv cameras about that you can never be sure nobody saw you. |

Before you ask these kind of questions , Think of it this way if you bought a brand new car and it was your pride and joy ,someone bumped your car then drove of how would you feel ? pretty hacked off i would imagine !! so yes i would leave my name and address as it is the right thing to do in this case . |

What do you mean, "but nobody saw you do it". I believe in GOD. Don't you think that He saw whoever did it.They will have to answer to Him at the end! |
