I got pulled for speeding and got caught with not having insurance. It had lapsed without me realizing it b/c I pay every 6 months and I moved so I didn't get the bill. I know it is my fault and take full responsibility but the tickets together are like 700 dollars roughly and it is more than I can come up with in like 11 days and I have no family with that kind of money to loan me. And unfortunately my credit is too poor to get a loan. And advanced paychecks are not an option at my company so I need it postponed a bit to save up. So I am hoping someone has either been thru this or is an atty or something to give some suggestions.

Since you didn't have insurance your license will almost certainly be suspended even if you could pay the tickets, probably for three months or longer. Just save up some money during the suspension period. You can pay the money at the end of the suspension period. In many states it costs a hundred or more to get your license reinstated after the suspension period in addition to the cost of the tickets so save up a bit extra.

See the link to the South Carolina DMV. The fine is $550. Your license will be suspended until the fine is paid in full. Apparently no payment plan for this offense.

I doubt you will be able to postpone it. That's the bad news. The good news is that most traffic courts will work out a pay plan for you that you can probably live with. However, if you don't pay according to the plan the court will simply put out an arrest warrant for you and eventually you will get caught.r

Usually you can go to traffic court, explain your case and ask for a payment plan. I work with youth who have done this in WA state, so I'm not sure if it's the same where you are. Good luck!
