I gather you've been driving for more than two years and that you have no points on your licence until now. That being the case, you're likely to receive three points for speeding and, as you have 12 points to "play with", you will not lose your licence.
If, however, you've done something utterly crass and dangerous the court can order that your licence is removed and that you take a test again before you get it back.
From what you say, though, looks like it could be 3 points and £60, that's it. |

you can be made to resit your test without having a ban imposed it depends very much on the reason for being taken to court |

you do if you get banned from driving with in 2 years of passing your test you will have to do it all again.
other wise no unless the judge says you need to.
if you were over the speed limit and it is your first speeding offence you could have the chance to either have the 3 point and pay the the £60 fine or do a course they can put you through but you still pay the fine, the course is like going back to school just to learn about safty it is a very good course i done it some time back it is very intrtesting you learn alot more |

Speeding 35 in 30 zone. Probably 3 points and £60 fine. You lose your licence once you reach 12 points. You don't necessarily have to do your test again either. You just apply to dvla to get your licence back nearer the time the ban expires. It depends on the crime. Drink driving, I'd say, yes. |

In the Uk if you lose your licence within 2 years of getting it, you have to retake the test.
Otherwise, no, you'll just get it back after the ban. |

IF YOU WASNT ORDERED TO DO SO BY THE COURT YOU SIMPLY JUST CONTACT THE DVLA TO ORDER YOU A NEW ONE |

if you were just caught speeding ,5 mlies over the limit you will just 3 points and a fine and if thats all you've done then thats it,dont worry we all speed at some time. |

It might depend on the state you are in. I forgot to renew mine one year for about 3 months. Yes, I had to take the written test and also the driving test. |

You only have to take your test again if the court / judge ordered it - usually not for speeding unless it was classed as dangerous driving |

It will be specified in court if you are ordered to re-sit your test. If not, you will indeed get your license back.
If you have been driving for less than 2 years, and you get 6 points you will lose your license and are normally required to re-sit.
I fail to see how you lost your license for doing 5 mph over the speed limit? I assume you have previous convictions tut tut.....! |

It's doubtful they will ban you for 5 over, unless this is just the most current of a series of tickets.
No, when the fine is paid and the ban is over, you apply and get it back without retesting. |

In the UK, if you get more than 6 points on your license in the first two years of having it, you will lose the license and have to retake your test. |

Depends on how the court have reported the offence to the DVLA and it then depends on how they interpret the courts ruling.
You need to clarify via the court and DVLA so there is no lost time when the ban is over. |

depends on what you got banned for and what country you live in. if you get banned on the totting procedure you get an application form threw your door before your Ban is up and it is handed back. |
