I was pulling up to a left turn lane to make a turn and the light was red so I pulled up behind the car in front of me like anyone else would. I came to a complete stop. (Normal stop as I was going the right speed limit) The car behind me completely not paying attention rear ends me which caused me to rear end the stopped car in front of me. Am I going to be at fault for the injuries and damage in the car in front of me since I hit her from being rear ended or will all the responsibility and fault go to the driver behind me? I am just worried because the lady I hit was pregnant and she hit her stomach on the steering wheel. Please only experienced advice apply?

If the impact of the driver hitting you is what caused your vehicle to hit the pregnant lady ahead of you, the person hitting you is at fault and is liable for repairs to both vehicles and for injuries occurring to both drivers and any of their passengers.
You were sitting still, so it sounds like you should be clear of blame for this. Good luck. |

The vehicle that hit you is at fault. Check the police report, it should list the guy that hit you from behind as at fault and the officer should have counted both collisions as one incident. Contact your insurance and let them deal with it. |

the driver of the first car to hit you is at fault for everything, but your insurance company will be contacted by the other parties insurance and may have to pay some damages. |

The guy that rear ended you is at fault entirely.
You do need to tell your insurance though, so they can fight your corner. |

The first driver is at fault, as he pushed you into the car in front. The pregnant woman's case is against the first driver. |

hi i have been in a similar incident and i got hit in the rear by a mini bus and pushed into another car and i was not at fault in either the polce or the insurance companys eyes and the car i was pushed into never tried to go through my insurance it went straight thru to the minibus so i never lost my no claims and no blame is laid on the middle car driver as that car is stationary so no worries mate |

If there is no dispute about the facts then the car that hit you and started the whole thing pays your damages and the car in front. The only problem I can foresee is an allegation that you cut into the lane and stopped suddenly, or that you hit the car in front of you first. I'm not saying you did either, but those are common conflicts/allegations. |
