Illinois Driver License Questions? Please help this 18 year old :)?

I am 18 years old and I had my permit for 2 years but it expired a couple months ago. Can I just go get my license since I am 18 (Does Illinois work like that because some states do) or would I have to get my permit again and wait 9 months because I heard that is the new law, that if you get your permit, you need to have it for 9 months and then you can go get your driver's license.

to get your license you have to take the DOL drivers test. its not that hard. last i checked millions of people have passed it. heck maybe even billions. |

You'll have to get a new permit, but you won't have to wait the 9 months since you're 18. You'll have to complete a driving test and that's why you'll need a valid permit. |
