I assume you are in the UK as you have written licence the correct (British) way (not license with an S like Americans)...
At 16 you can ride a 50cc moped that is restricted to 30mph. First you must apply for your provisional licence and then complete a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training). You must display L plates, not carry pillion passengers and not go on motorways. You can take a moped test so you can remove your L plates and carry passengers but it's really not worth it as you will only be able to ride 50cc mopeds as a full licence holder, even when you turn 17.
If you are 17 or older you can ride any bike up to 125cc with L plates, no passengers and no motorway use (as long as you have a CBT). You can take your bike theory test and then your practical test so you can remove your L plates, carry passengers and go on motorways. After 2 years have elapsed since completing your bike test, you will be allowed to ride any size bike.
To be able to drive a car you must be at least 17 years old (or 16 if disabled). You can drive with L plates as long as you are accompanied by a full licence holder over the age of 21 who has held their full car licence for at least 3 years (you cannot drive on motorways). Once you have completed your car theory test and car practical test you will be allowed to drive unsupervised without L plates and you can use motorways, |

No, they require two separate licenses. They are two different vehicles so they must have two different licenses. Check with your DMV to find out the requirements for each license. Good luck and good question. It's always a good idea to ask before you assume anything. |

You have to do your bike and car test separate.
When you reach the age and end up doing both they will both appear on your licence on one card you do not receive two separate licence cards for different categories.
