Don't worry about it. As long as the policy is in his name, you cannot be held liable for anything... Only your husband can remove you as a second driver as he is the policy holder...

if you are living in separate households, provide them documentation of this and request to be taken off. they will usually take a bill or lease from your new residence. if you live in the same house still, you can take out a policy in your name only, and then provide them proof of other insurance. since the car is registered to him only and you are only listed as a driver, him not paying the policy will not affect you in any other regards than you will not be covered under his policy anymore. it will not affect your credit in any way, or stop you from getting a policy elsewhere.

I don't see how your just being a driver on his policy affects you in any way in terms of getting your own car and insurance, whether he fails to pay or not.

dont worry, you are just listed as a driver you are not the primary policy holder. there fore its not going to effect you. if your husband tells the agent it is ok to take your name off the policy they have to take your name off, but only the policy holder can make changes on the account, thats why they wouldnt take your name off when you asked them. hope that helped.

You really don't need to be overly concerned with this. All it does is cover you if you should happen to drive his car, it won't affect your car or your insurance at all.

If you have a car that you are driving, you need insurance on that in your name. Contact an independent agent and tell him what you have, and what you need and he will put you in your own policy which will protect you.

If you are still considered married (especially if you are still under the same roof), the insurance company will likely not take you off the policy without his consent.

However, if the bill is not paid, there is simply no insurance in place which, as the driver, is his problem and not yours!

This will not effect anything for you. No worries!

there is no problem... you are listed as an insured driver on that policy...you are not the policy holder...it will only count against him if the policy lapses

Try googling it ... i think there are websites that give you legal advice about things like this....How can they refuse to take your name off the insurance policy? That's a bit bizarre.

They usally need authorisation froM the policy holder t o change details .. its perfectly standard practice.. you need to kik ur ex up the bottom

no they should take your name off you may need him to call send a certified letter saying you dont give rights for your name to be on the policy and you want it removed.
